Teacher Biographies
Lisa McGrath
Lisa McGrath is head of dance at Talented Kids Performing Arts School. She received her training with Maureen V Ward, and has obtained her R.I.A.M. singing grades 1 – 7. She also attended stage schools as youngster including Twink’s “Adele King Theatre School” where she studied dance, singing and drama.
After school, Lisa decided to further her studies in Dance/Theatre, and obtained a place in Inchicore College of Further Education for four years, and is qualified in ISTD Foundation in Dance Instruction. She is also a Fitness Instructor and obtained an NCEF qualification through the University of Limerick.
Whilst at Inchicore College, Lisa toured for one year with a Contemporary Dance Troupe, and went on to teach for Inchicore College Summer Camps. She also represented Inchicore College in Shawbrook Dance Competitions, and was also selected to travel to Vienna to take workshop classes.
Lisa has a long list of performance credits to her name, including Short Films (Moore Street Masala), Pantomime, Olympia Theatre shows, Late Late Show Appearances, Variety Shows, Photo Shoots, Jane Shortall Dance Gigs, Shows with the RTE Symphony Orchestra, Corporate Functions with Belinda Murphy, John Brady Entertainment, Creative Entertainment Consultant Performances and through this, she has performed in many venues nationwide including the Mansion House, Hilton Hotel Malahide and the Brandon Hotel, Co. Kerry. She has also performed at numerous Charity Events including Temple Street Hospital.
Lisa is now concentrating all of her time on teaching Dance, and has choreographed numerous productions over the years for many different schools.
She is at present teaching for a number of schools, such as Mount Anville Secondary School, Killinarden Community School, and a variety of other Stage Schools, along with her own School.
Lisa taught her first Dance Class for Talented Kids over 17 years ago, and is delighted to still be on board working with a great team of professionals.
